Farm to Table: Hands-on Cooking and Nutrition classes
for Adults and Children age 12 and up
June - November
Sundays, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
This series is designed to show how to use the freshest seasonal, local farm grown, sustainable food available to prepare delicious, beautiful dishes that excite the senses! Classes are based on crop harvest and provide hands on workshops for those who wish to expand their cooking skills, knowledge of whole foods, and their recipe collection. Workshops will take place in the farm barn kitchen. We'll pick from the crops, bring back to the kitchen, prepare and share the creations inspired by nature. Hilltop Hanover Farm has an abundance of crops - root vegetables, leafy greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, radishes, herbs, eggplant, just to name a few. Each class focuses on the crops of that week making these classes truly local, farm to table, seasonal celebrations!
Beginning to advanced cooks welcomed. Classes are given by Laurie Gershgorn, personal chef and proprietor of Healthy Culinary Creations LLC. Costs: $40 for adults, $20 for each child (12 and over) per class, includes materials.
